What a compelling matchup! GG vs a blown up WW. Gee that's a complete 180 over him fighting the usual blown up JMWs.

I like Jacobs and have massive respect for his returning to the ring after winning his battle with cancer. But he's absolutely right in that he ain't ready. Jarrod Fletcher will actually be a step up for him at this point.

I think it's understandable that he's taken it very slowly after first the Pirog loss then his illness, but the time has come for him to see how competitive he is against top 20 and 30 fighters before looking ahead to guys like GGG.

Lions don't do steroids. That's all TRT is, legalised steroid abuse.

Hate to say this but GGG's power is like no others.... I cant see anyone beating this guy. I would like to someone from 2 weight divisons above MW drained themselves and that should nuetrualize GGG's power and make it an even playing field. I know Im bringing up an unrealistic idea, but he's taking fools out like a video game (Mike Tyson punchout). IMO GGG is not PPV yet. I dont want to pay $70-75 for a 15 min fight

If he doesn't think he will win now he never will win against GGG he should stop trying to make it out as If he will be ready to beat him...
More of a case of him hoping GGG slumps in form many years from now.

Cotto is a live dog against GGG, it would have to be at a catch weight of 158 (GGG said he can go down to 154, so it should not be a problem). Do not dismiss Cotto's body of work, and he does not have to drain himself, and if Roach gives him the right game plan, we all know Cotto follows the plan as good as any fighter. Cotto is hard to hit flush and he can take GGG deep into waters he has never swam in. Present the right package and I think its a done deal. GGG is big for the weight but Cotto is nasty..
I am a big Cotto fan.......just to get that out of the way......and I do think he's an excellent fighter with underrated skills in many areas.....

But if you look at the first fight with Margarito, you see the pressure slowly break him down.

This is the same thing only GGG doesn't need loaded gloves, he's naturally bigger, better defense, better one punch power, goes to the body harder than Cotto at the weight, I see a brutal end for Cotto vs Golovkin in about 8 rounds.........and I'd be rooting for Cotto the whole way.

Cotto is just too small. Roach's game plans are about the most over-rated I have ever seen.....let's face it, Cotto caught Sergio at the right time.

I don't think he needs Golovkin...........he has two bigger $$ fights for his retirement plan. I think he can and should beat Canelo, then lure Floyd to 155 for the MW title, a couple 'mandatory' fights in between and walk......let Golovkin and whoever he hasn't yet smashed settle out the real MW champion.

Cotto took too severe beatings at WW and has been in many wars. He was young enough to come through those ok. This is a whole different beast here..........

                    I hope Cotto stays away.

BTW......whoever said 'if Jacobs wins and Cotto wants to unify'........problem with that is that if Jacobs does win, it's not the 'REAL' or 'Super' WBA title........that belongs to Golovkin.

I think Cotto has a better than good shot vs Quillen. GGG.........no chance. Too much risk. Take the two big paydays and walk. By then, GGG will have cleaned out any other guys with belts that have the sack, and he can fight whoever is left for the Ring/WBC MW Titles.....

On his way to the real fight everyone will eventually want........Golovkin vs Ward at 168.........

After GGG moves up and gets beat by Ward, Jacobs can fight for the vacated MW lineal........

But he will be and everyone paid to see Tyson do it.......No, he's not a HW. But at this point in this country, nobody cares. They just want to see the KO's after the recent drought on PPV.

As for the draining weight two divisions.......you mean kinda like how Dawson did to fight Ward? Didn't really work that way. It makes for weak legs and a sluggish fighter.....

He'll be beaten by Ward once he collects the trinkets he wants. Then Ward can take over the 175 division and GGG can start over with the guys at 168.....
