He would wreck both of those guys. Find a legit MW that WILL fight Golovkin.......Quillen? NO........Soliman? NO........Cotto? NO......

Canelo hasn't even been at the weight and he doesn't have enough power to keep GGG off him.........and that ring would get very small quickly.

Cotto can't hold up. He was mentally broken before. This will be even worse. It's not as though Golovkin has been out there saying 'I need another fight or two before the MW title holders'.........he's said exactly the opposite for the last three fights............

Cotto and Canelo are likely to fight each other before either gets near Golovkin. Even then, I'm not seeing it yet though I'd love to see GGG get on a PPV card and get more exposure.

Then when he moves up to fight Ward after cleaning the MW division out, they will both get paid well..........and Ward will beat GGG, 8-4 ish.......

Jacobs, a Brooklyn native who overcame cancer to rejuvenate his career last year, believes a fight against Golovkin “would be huge.” Nevertheless, if Jacobs (27-1, 24 KOs) can defeat Australia’s Jarred Fletcher (18-1, 10 KOs) for the WBA’s “regular” middleweight title Aug. 9 at Barclays Center, he’d prefer to continue building his name and resume before boxing Golovkin (30-0, 27 KOs), the WBA’s “super” champion at 160 pounds.

Big respect for Jacobs IMO. He's not saying he can't win, just not feeling he's on GGG's level and when they do fight, that's a dangerous fight for both and wants to get paid well for that grueling fight.

Pirog v GGG would be perfect and about due if Pirog had not suffered career ending back injuries.....

People really need to stop blaming Golovkin for not fighting 'big enough' names.

Seriously, nobody wants to fight him. He can't get Cotto to fight him, Quillin wants no part of him, Soliman isn't fighting him, Canelo doesn't want to move up....what is he supposed do to? Fight several guys on one night to make things a bit more interesting?

Exactly my point. When Carl Froch of all people says something to the effect of "that's one you just move around or in the opposite direction all together when you're near the same water. Better yet, find a different sea all together".......what should he do?

Even on the Ward rematch in London, Froch simply said 'the style just doesn't make for a good fight'......read between the lines 'he's too good'.....

But in GGG's case, Froch is all but admitting real fear. Never heard him talk like that about any fighter........I need to find that actual quote. It pretty much sums up GGG's problems in finding more quality opponents than former belt holders.......

3 fights in a row he has asked for unification. Quillen talked a lot until he almost got beaten buy the same guy that was such a bloody mess vs Golovkin, I thought Golovkin might have a cut.

Only with Quillen, the fight was very close. GGG shut the guy out. Quillen has said nothing since and now it appears Soliman wants no part of him.

Speaking of faces not holding up well to punishment, Cotto's face would start breaking down in the 4-5th round and be KO'd by 8. And I'm a real Cotto fan. But too many wars means at his age, he doesn't recover.

He's better off fighting Canelo and Floyd as part of his cash-out retirement plan. The trinket he has should have both interested. I think he could legitimately beat Canelo. Then lure Floyd to 155 for the MW title and walk with $20+mil after those two fights...........he doesn't owe anyone a fight with GGG. He's a small MW. Doesn't need the beating.......

GGG is taking over. Cotto knows it. And will let him without giving it up to him in the ring.........he or Floyd will leave it vacant.

If Canelo beats Cotto, which I still doubt, I'd love to see GGG bust Canelo up. Not that I don't like the kid........but he would have no chance and he's never been in a war yet. It would be a one-sided drubbing.........of the new so-called 'Golden Boy of PPV'.........LOL
