As in Brock Lesnar a few years back? No.

I'm talking about a PURE Wrestler with no other MMA training. Not a Lesnar, Valasquez, Hughes, etc. aka former champion wrestlers who went to UFC.

The greatest wrestler of all time Alexander Karelin vs Tyson/Holyfield or any other HW boxer would be fun to watch. Karelin was a f_ucking beast.

The only wrestler's that would lose this would be the overly macho ones who want to prove they can outbox the boxer. Other than that, the wrestler wins this 8/10 times. When they stay low and shoot low, theres just nothing the boxer can do to defend themselves anymore, especially without knowing at least very basic takedown defence.

Wlad would be the perfect candidate to fight a wrestler.

The moment the wrestler gets a hold of the boxer (and he will), it's over. He gets dropped on his head.

Actually between all the effective fighting arts (boxing is effective afterall), boxing would be the least effective. Beneath BJJ, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Judo, Kickboxing and a few others. It works well, but striking with hands is ultimately just too limited. The hands have low reach and low power, and very low flexibility. Still the hands can be important at times, but not so much that itd trump a solid wrestler.
