I don't like it either when fighters move up in weight just to collect belts without fighting the best fighters of the division. Recently, we've seen Broner and Mares do that. They are now three-division world champions but they never unified or became the king of a division, nor did they always fight the toughest challenges: Broner at 135 - Mares at 122 (Mares did fight everyone at 118 though).
However, when you have fought, and beaten, everyone that mattered in your division you can contemplate moving up in weight. Ward cleaned out 168, it could be time for him to look for new challenges at 175. Who is he gonna fight at super middleweight? Adonis Stevenson was a super middleweight, but he couldn't get a title shot. He took a risk, moved up in weight for Chad Dawson and it paid off.
