  • GGG-Ward-Rigo: which one needs to move up in weight the most?

    GGG:
    Pros:
    - No big names at 160
    - Move up to fight Ward and possibly Froch for more money

    Cons:
    - Stay at 160 and fight Soliman, Murray, N'dam, Mora, etc.
    - Wait for a potential Canelo or Cotto fight

    Ward:
    Pros:
    - Cleaned out 168 already, no meaningful fights left there
    - Kovalev & Stevenson at 175: money + legacy

    Cons:
    - Chavez Jr. payday
    - Wait for GGG to move up in weight: big fight

    Rigo:
    Pros:
    - Avoided by super bantamweight champions/top contenders
    - Donaire, Lomachenko, Gradovich at 126

    Cons:
    - Frampton & Santa Cruz: biggest money fight for him
    - Way too small at 126 (5'4"; small frame)

What do you guys think? Who should move up in weight and who should stay where he is? Explain why.

GGG has Cotto Quillin and maybe Canelo at middleweight.
Rigondeuax has Santa Cruz and maybe Mares who IMO is a 122 pounder.
Andre Ward has nobody! Literally nobody at his weight to fight that we care for. Jr is fighting Froch.

ward already cleaned out 168 and he doesn't want to rematch froch.

both golovkin and rigo have unfinished business in their weightclass.

Ward. He cleaned out his own division. There's nothing left for him

Instead of Ward die hards begging for GGG to move up, why don't they beg Ward to move up from the division he already cleaned out to fight Kovalev?

            Inb4 excuses/no response

Ward seems to have lost his competitiveness.

GGG is a Middleweight, his height and frame dictate that.

Rigo also only has so much weight to add, he is a small frame fellow.
However Rigo & GGG do have power added by technique.
I believe they could move up and be successful.

                Ray.

Ward said he would move up to light heavy...

                    That's why he's irrelevant
