Chavez Jr: Wants Golovkin but is not signing Arum's 2-fight contract.

To Gennady Golovkin's people...Andre Ward is available. Make him an offer and stop asking if he's fighting or not. Call him up and find out.
Golovkin has clearly stated he wants to unify the belts at middleweight and then think of any moves in weight. That is his ambition, his current goal, why should he change it? I can understand if he managed all the gold at 160lb and then refused to move up, but he hasn't...in fact, that scenario sounds a lot like a certain Mr Ward, who has beaten the two best super middleweights of his generation in Froch and Kessler yet refuses to move up to light heavyweight, a division rich in possibly big money fights.

Right. That's why he was on the verge of fighting Chavez at 168.

I like GGG, but seriously, as good as he is, he WILL lose some power at SMW. I agree with Hearn... it would be a 50-50 fight. But man, what a fight it would be.

Chavez is the biggest money and exposure above 154, and a crowdpleaser to boot. Of course he'd take that, as his team said: will step outside the division for a ppv

Yeah, totally agree. Two guys with granite chins and no idea what "defence" means. What's not to like

Yeah of course. Financial reasons. Sounds familiar.

this is a fight that could well happen down the line imo though I can perfectly understand what hearn says here ... it makes sense. Why would he send his fighter in with GGG right now (tougher fight less money) as opposed to hunting chavez jnr (easier fight, more money)

imo let GGG take care of 160 ... unify the titles and turn into a PPV star hopefully pretty quickly if he can land the unification fights and then look at a moving up for at megafight with froch in front of a packed out Wembley in a year or year and a half time. Suggesting anything else doesn't really make much sense for either guy.

Its a pretty reasonable stance: will fight outside your division for a high reward fight. Its not like they tried to drain a 48-year old via low catchweight, like Froch

What are you on about? Is this like when you brought up Darren Barker to say he was ducking GGG? Even though he is retired and near crippled...lol. Mate, try to use actual achievements to hype your fighter. I guess it's hard when Danny Geale is his best win

agree with this much ... it's not hard to understand ... both froch and GGG both have reasonable stances here. Froch will risk fighting GGG if it's worth it ... GGG will risk 168 if it's worth it etc. It's only obsessed fanboys arguing about ducking or whatever and making this into something it's not - nothing new for NSB there.
