Just because I'm a fan of GGG does not mean I represent what any other fan of him or anybody else says

All these weight classes being so close to each other got the game watered down.

The lineal champ can't fight the #1 contender. Smh.

What Team Cotto is saying is that they don't see financial sense in a Golovkin fight. Team GGG should be able to understand and accept that excuse.

And if you go by each fighter's attendance figures at Madison Square Garden they do have a point.

Ward's the lineal/universally recognized/has kicked everybody relevant's ass in the division champion. There you go.

Sergio Martinez got his shot at a big money fight against Cotto by beating a quality opponent in Chavez Jr. on PPV and then fighting in front of a huge crowd in his home country to prove that he had drawing power.

It doesn't make a damn bit of difference how many people GGG beats up. If GGG wants his shot at the big money fights against Cotto and Froch, he has to do the same thing Martinez did and the only person he can do that against is Andre Ward, not Sam Soliman and Curtis Stevens.

I don't feel that you can put Team Cotto's reasons in the same category as Martinez. Cotto's strategy is to insure his legacy and future. Personally I think his team is thinking very wise at this point.
GGG will get his turn to really show the world what he's capable of. Meanwhile most in the Boxing community have already realized it and that is why he is being ducked. The guy is a monster. Seriously.
