It's a Mexican website -- therefore it's normal that they feel like endorsing Canelo... (Google + is translating me in English all pages that aren't in English, French or Romanian)...

While Chavez Sr. is cited as saying that they discussed with Cotto, "Top Rank VP Carl Moretti confirms that his company is still very interested in making a fight between Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. of Mexico and WBC/WBA 'regular' super middleweight champion Carl Froch (...) Moretti also labeled inaccurate reports of a Chavez-Miguel Cotto clash for December 6th as being 'crazy'."

It seems that TR would want Froch as Jr's next opponent while Chavez Sr. is calling for a Cotto fight...

I don't see how Chavez makes 160. The height/reach advantage everyone's talking about is not as big an issue if Chavez does make 160 bc Chavez will likely be very drained come fight night. As a fan I want Miguel to do what he's done his whole career and fight the best (GGG). But as a die hard Cotto fan I don't wanna see him go out like that, I don't know who would beat GGG unless your names Andre Ward at 68. Having said that I think Cotto beats Chavez ( again that is if Julio makes the 160 limit) then goes against Canelo or Floyd. Miguel has had a helluva career and will go down as one of my all time fav fighters, dude is class act, doesn't yap yap yap all the time let's his fists talk for him, hasn't ducked anyone that I can recall his entire career,2 of his only 3 LEGIT losses came against the 2 best p4p of our era and way he looking now he may redeem himself for one or both losses. What more can u ask for in a champ?

The funny thing is that neither Cotto nor Chavez Jr have anything to do with the 160 division right now. And a fight with these two would be hilarious...

Senior got told by his son to GTFO of his camp because his father still thinks he is in charge or fighting. Of course Senior wants his son to face Cotto its probably his only winnable fight with anyone of note, and that's solely because he is so much bigger. Senior really should just shut up, he doesn't contorl his sons life anymore I think this is a case of that.

First Roach and now Senior... Nice... Jr managed to get rid of the only people who were forcing him to work for boxing... Jr is free now, he may give up boxing.

That is exactly how I see it. The Canelo fight is sure even if he loses to Veneno. Mayweather just dependends if Cotto beats Canelo.
