154 definitely has a greater and younger selection of fighters. However, I can envision many of the top LMWs fighting at MW. Vanes and Andrade are tall; Canelo and Kirkland are stocky. The Charlo twins will most likely grow into full fledged MWs too. LMW seems perfect for Lara and Molina though.

154 is deeper but GGG is the standout fighter

It's got to be light middleweight, by a country mile in fact. Middleweight has seen Barker retire due to injuries, Martinez's career is almost over for that same reason, Soliman is a faded fighter and is Sturm and Murray can't pull the trigger and most recently Geale showed he lack the sheer fortitude to carry on against a good puncher. As for Quillin, I've been waiting for him to step up for some 3 years now.

Only Cotto and Golovkin are left standing and I doubt those two will fight each other.

160 is a weak division. 154 is strong.

Cotto should go down to 154, unless he avoids GGG. He'll get starched by a few fighters there, he's just too small and hasn't got enough firepower.

154 is probably the deepest division besides welter..

I think 160 gets underrated because none of the top fighters fight each other.. But 154 is still better in depth and quality

Who ? nobody never discredited GGG.

This is how weak the MW division is: with all due respect, Cotto was irrelevant at JMW and he jumped up and took out the lineal champ by stoppage. By the books he's #1 and GGG is #2, but we all know who the man at MW is.

The poster above me when I wrote that. Cotto cherry picked Martinez, he'd lose to several other MWs not including GGG. 154 has a lot of the same type fighters who have skills but are all flawed in one way or another. I thought Charlo was the goods but he just hit the canvas against a nobody in his last fight.
