Lol no. Toney isn't the monster you make him out to be. If he was, he wouldn't have needed gifts against subpar competition and favorable decisions against tough competition. It doesn't add up anywhere you dissect it.

Toney in his best night vs ggg on his best night.. It's clearly a toney victory..
You clearly don't realize how gifted toney was... Let's see ggg ove up to 168, or 175, or cruiser, or even heavyweight.. You think ggg could tangle with peter and Holyfield and Rahman
If you don't think toney was a monster, then I don't think you know much about James toney, especially his early years

Has Toney beat anyone that hits as hard and Accurate as GGG? Yes
Has GGG defeated anyone that hit as hard and accurate as Toney? No
Simply put...Toney is a proven commodity, and fought in a deeper era
GGG has a lot of questions to answer...until then I cant see how he could deal with an all-around fighter like Toney in his prime.
Not only that Toney is a better inside fighter than GGG and thats GGGs forte. Uphill battle

Toney was proven in that he needed gifts to keep his record intact. Excellent fighter, but please stop acting as if he were untouchable, when it clearly wasn't the case.

And I don't think you fully understand the concept of fighting down to the level competition

What do you think Toney would have done against the guys GGG has fought so far?
Compare their quality of opposition.
Put GGG in with the guys Toney fought at 160 and a gaurantee that mediocre kayo streak would get stopped in its tracks.
At 160 Toney fought
Mike McCallum twice, Reggie Johnson, Michael Nunn and tough contenders like Glenn Wolfe, Merqui Sosa, and Doug DeWitt
GGG aint skating by those guys with all ko wins or undefeated

Toney would probably need a corrupt decision to beat someone like Geale, since he fought down to his competition.
