Canelo beats him. GGG needs an opponent who will lie still against the ropes. That's not Canelo. Golovkin also shuts down when pressured and Alvarez brings that all night. No knock against Golovkin, this is just a bad match up for him. He does beat Cotto via body punches though.

Canelo would put the ****ing beating of the decade on ggg. Beats the breaks off him. Wayyy too fast for ggg. Canelo would honestly probably rearrange his facial bone structure. That being said lara would move well and be able to sit down on his punches more and therefore probably beat him in 12 rounds close. Lara wasn't able to sit down on anything because canelo was way too fast and explosive for him. He also probably ran so much because of that. I still think he barely edged canelo but oh well. Ggg wouldnt hit floyd that would be ****** boring. Nelo ices ggg, andre and floyd way too skilled. Nelo beats cotto in 12. Cotto ggg is 50/50.

          He would walk through Cotto.

Canelo would show him his power and ward him off for a couple rounds but eventually start swelling up and take a knee.

Canelo moves less than Cotto and is likely to be fighting GGG off the ropes in my opinion.

I have never seen GGG shut down when pressured, I saw him being shortly outboxed , a minute or so, in his fight in Montecarlo.

Even more importantly though, Canelo is not a pressure fighter , he hardly threw more than Lara. He's more a stationary counter puncher than a pressure fighter.

Neither guy makes it past 8 rounds.

In my opinion Canelo would last less than Cotto.

And it is not about GGG being invincible, more simply, Cotto would be likely to be on his bike and try to box , while Canelo's lack of footwork would force him to trade bombs with GGG.

And I don't think it's a good idea to trade bombs with Golovkin.
Canelo can fight on the inside, has a better offense than Cotto up close, better center of gravity, physically stronger. This notion that Canelo would need to move is false, this match up is a favorable one for him stylistically, that doesn't necessarily mean he'll win but he won't have any problems finding Golovkin. I also believe, well not even believe I know Canelo will get off first in the exchanges and I think he'll transition back to his defense well enough to avoid Golovkin's bombs. It's all a matter of how well Golovkin can take Canelo's punches and physical strength; who's gonna push who here.

Well canelo's style is favorable for golovkin as well. And it's not a matter of how well golovkin can take canelo's mediocre punches and mediocre strength, it's a matter of how well canelo can take golovkin's unstoppable hulkish power. Golovkin has already had his chin tested and routinely spars light heavyweights and heavyweights.

I never heard any boxer say that canelo hits like a heavyweight. They all say that about golovkin. Shane Mosley said that canelo hits about as hard as a welterweight Floyd hahahahahahahaha. Wow such power , good strength.
