I feel like if you consistently KO these type of low caliber fighters over and over that instead of warranting massive hype, it should encourage the fans of said fighter to actually step up in class and challenge himself.

Take for example Gennady. His fans cherish his wins over Geale, Macklin, Rosado, Ishida and other JMW's. Objective boxing fans however call for him to actually fight people that are considered worthy. Shouldn't his fans do the same?

It really isn't too shocking though when you consider that most GG fans are casuals or are entirely new to the sport.

unwarranted hype? ... guys who trash talk there way to attention and flush money down the toilet to get people talking about them while failing to do the business in the ring.

warranted hype: Guys who go in there and KTFO two time world champions in 3 rounds.

Here's a good example. Nice of someone to actually speak on the topic at hand for once. He was indeed overhyped and it was all unwarranted.

Why does no one want to give their opinion on what they believe should be considered unwarranted hype?

Why are two top 5 middleweights considered unworthy?

If you think that you must consider Golovkin to be even greater than his fans do.

I agree with your part of your definition of it, but using GGG as an example is wrong IMO Geale, Stevens, and Macklin are all top contenders-former titlists. Although I would like to see a Quillin, Soliman, and Murray type fights.
