I bet that mma fighter thought he was pretty good at boxing and felt he could easily compete in the sport before he stepped foot in the ring.

MMA guys should never step into a boxing ring, and boxers should never step into the cage. Boxer's always win the fist fights, and MMA guys always win the fights.

When I see things like this, I wonder the incompetence of the people who train and manage him. Did they think he will just come in and be a good boxer because he trains in MMA?

I'm surprised he lasted that long, the way he was leaping in was scary. He was basically begging to be hit with the cross.

just because both sports broadly fall under the umbrella of 'fighting' doesn't mean the skills involved are transferable. we don't speculate over whether football players can compete at rugby. it's pointless and dumb.

I disagree many boxers have had success in MMA without taking it seriously.

You have guys off the Street becoming UFC champions in 3 years, why can't a boxer?

Lets face it if a boxer adjusts his stance and learns the basics - checking kicks, takedown defense then hes a huge threat in MMA

If he does all those things he's no longer a boxer...lol

Those things are not that easy and you are over simplifying it. A boxer at a lower level can learn those things and have some success...maybe.

Just like I'm sure that mma fighter in the video can beat some low level boxers I'm sure.

In the end though, if you want to talk about the higher level fighters in both sports, you cannot just join and think you can learn something in a few months or even a couple of years and think you can compete.

You will get the living dog **** kicked out of you.

Boxing will rule mma in 12 yrs

Because of the negate of each style everyone is average at everything.
the boxer will have the advantage in 10 to 12 yrs.
And its a wrap. All other mma fighters will fall out
