Lol wtf. Golovkins got people going crazy!

Yeah let me bring up Golovkin going up 3 weight classes to CW because I'm angry that he can beat the 160lb lineal champ

Lmao. Nobody told Cotto to move up. That was his decision
2 reasons he wants to fight him

      1.Money
      2. He has the lineal MW title

Who cares if Cotto started his career at 130 or 40.... are you kidding me? f you don't want people talking about Cotto fighting GGG, then get out of MW division.

Let's throw a fit every time somebody from WW wants to fight Pac because he started his career at 106 and it wouldn't be fair.... WTF?

Why is this a surprise too? Cotto is now the guy to beat because he beat the guy who beat the guy who beat the guy.

Fine if you don't want them to fight, Cotto's a small MW and just went up for the belt, but if you use the reason of the weight Cotto started his career at.... WTF does that have to do with anything right now?

Cotto is the handicap killer. Beating a 40-year-old cripple is nothing to be proud of.
He knocked out 1 guy in his career cold, that's not a big deal. Especially when ANOTHER southpaw Cotto destroyed beat Paul Williams as well (Quintana.) Since when does power have anything to do with skill, when is the last time Floyd dropped anyone lol.

To you dumbos talking about Cotto's 160 title, he weighed in at 155lbs.

Nobody was telling Pacquiao to defend his 154 WBC title against James Kirkland, Paul Williams, or Vanes Martirosyan. Every one defended him as being too small for 154. Yet, Cotto is just right for GGG?

You and that other idiot are 2 of the 5 worst GGG fans on this website. Can't wait 'til GGG steps up to an actual good fighter and not these guys who lost to Darren Barker, and other journeymen/club fighters.

Since when does what weight class a boxer started at have any bearing on the current weight class that he fights in?

Cotto is now the 160 lineal champ, Golovkin should be able to fight him for that title.

                Its as simple as that.

I can't wait either, so someone can bump this thread simply for this post.

Pac also relinquished his 154 WBC title soon after he won it.

So your argument there is a moot point.

That means Cotto should do the same as Pac or he has to defend it against real 160 fighters.

It means prime Sergio crouches his body, (lowering his height) dropped his hands, could easily be hit, had bad balance/footwork and was dropped in fights. He's the same Sergio he always has been just maybe older and a little slower. It means Cotto at his best would have always beaten Martinez at his best.

Their power is similar and speed is similar, other than that Trout didn't get knocked on his ass 3 times, and then again by a jab in the 9th. So no, Martinez is not better than Trout in every department.
If funny how you talk down on his style and yet thats the reason you think he's a "worse" fighter then Cotto. Maravilla's style is simply something you don't like and it doesn't make him a lesser fighter then Cotto. That same style made him middleweight kingpin and he practically cleaned out his division until GGG came a knocking. Boxing experts and analysts, who probably know more then you, had Martinez a favorite for a reason, not just people on NSB. Your Cotto homerism will not change that. Sorry.

And the key words are not a "5 years ago" Sergio, the keys are a "healthy" Sergio, which he wasn't that night. Cotto fans could talk **** all they want about how Martinez was overrated or didn't have a style to beat the invisible Cotto, the fact remains is he was fighting on bum knees. Sergio at his best is correctly favored over Cotto.

Yes, Trout didn't get dropped 3 times, but he also didn't have washed up knees, oh and he gave your hero Cotto a boxing lesson.
