This Saturday night at New York's Madison Square Garden, Geale will put Golovkin to the test in an HBO televised headliner.

Golovkin has the reputation of a killer, with a long history of fighters doing their best to stay out of his path. Geale won't go as far as to call Golovkin an overhyped product, but he is less than impressed with his level of opposition.

Then he better buy in to get his face smashed

I am really not sold on GGG he is a limited pressure fighter with a big punch.
I don't think his defense is good and I think his ability to cut a ring off is hilariously overrated.
People just see what they want to see and believe.

No matter how he dispatches of Geale it wouldn't really impress me, its not hate or not giving him his due I've just never rated Geale at all and my post history will show that. He is gutsy & has a good work rate but hes a mediocre boxer.
Does everything well nothing great and has a lot of defensive flaws to go with a sub-par chin. I fully expect Geale to be taken out early. Hes never fought a puncher & been down around a dozen times against opposition who frankly couldn't break an egg.
One hasn't "to be sold" on Golovkin... One should have followed the Soviet school of boxing (at it's best) and notice that no top fighter and/or champ in the Americas wanted and/or wants to unify with Golovkin -- which is a fact.
Why that? Because Golovkin is an overhyped pressure fighter, right?

All there is to say is:

        GGG 1 - 0 Geale

The fight is already done in GGGs favour as far as I'm concerned.

The only fighter at middleweight which I will give praise for is Sergio Mora because IMO his style gives GGG fits.

I'd like to see Lemieux for obvious reasons.
If N'Dam gets by Stevens, that fight would do nicely & I'd give praise for that one.
Jacobs would be perfectly fine by me too.

What is there to say when Sam Soliman is easily a top 5 fighter?
Geale, Soliman, Chudinov, Fletcher - The division is a joke and any fighter coming through with any real ability will clean it out with ease. Its the weakest division in boxing and maybe MW history. No fault of GGGs, it is what it is.
I just... I dunno. I respect you as a poster plenty, but I just don't get the dislike of Golovkin.

Anyway ... I can agree to differ, and I ain't gonna argue the toss over the quality of the division, but you will be watching Saturday night I hope? This has the makings of a decent fight IMO.

I get what dan_cov is saying!!!
160 is pretty lame. GGG is like a thurman. Known for that POWER, only difference is 147 is stacked with talent so Keith needs power and a lot of skill whereas GGG can get buy and look good with just power and walk straight through the contenders! It is the way it is doe. In a different era GGG wouldn't look great at all!

Peter quillin isn't even a legit threat the dude had 13 amateur fights golovkin will rule middleweight for a while due to poor opposition but still very exciting to watch.

LHW isn't what I'd call weak either with B-Hop, Kovalev, Stevenson. Pascal & Eleider half a step below and top, top prospects Mekhontsev, Gvozdyk & Shabranskyy.

I think these are very solid divisions unfortunately we don't have the best fighting the best.

I won't argue Heavyweight, that is no denying that is a weak division.
