wasn't in the cards, yet we got the fight we wanted
pretty sure everyone wanted floyd-pac not floyd-cotto 4 years later at 154 instead of 147. but hey we got hopkins-jones 2 as well. the fight we all wanted.
1.5 million ppv buys, yet it's not a fight that people wanted to see......nsb logic for you.
those buys indicate what it was for the casual fan (who makes up the vast majority of these numbers). the posters before are talking about the hardcore fan - the only fan that actually matters.

many hardcore fans bought the ppv too. it was a fight between two champions and two hof'ers. what are you talking about? do you have any proof that the majority that bought the fight were casuals?

The reaction of the hardcore fans was that this fight was years too late.

Look I originally liked the fight, but ive since been persuaded that Cotto was trying to "Resto" Floyd out there. He had gloves with no padding! Too many fighter's is dyin'. That wasnt a real fight, it was a crime scene.
