And I don't think Canelo has a good uppercut at all personally. He drops his hand before throwing it and leaps into it. He doesn't have the athleticism, speed or precision of a Roy Jones to get away with it. Horrible habit if you ask me. Only time I've ever seen him land it was against that punchbag Angulo

Maidana also throws vicious upper cuts when the opportunity presents itself.

Canelo and JMM are pretty similar in offensive arsenal only JMM is an excellent counter puncher too.

I do see berto and broner throwing them when counter punching, I never really notice hop or Floyd using it, rigo leaves his opponents standing there frozen like Floyd, to me Danny is known for the left or right hook, with canelo u know those are one of his punches u have to look out for, I guess with rigo, Floyd, and Bhop, they are smart enough to use the punch if they recognize it's open

That throws excellent uppercuts. I've seen him throw some that just seems like they would've ripped Floyd and Lara's head right off if they would've landed. Trout ate a bunch of them, I don't think any was on the chin. He reminds me of the uppercuts I use to throw with sub-zero when I would play mortal kombat .Can u guys think of anyone that still uses uppercuts often?

really? i always thought canelo kind of telegraphs his uppercuts, brings them down too low and also reaches at the end of the punch leaving himself vulnerable for counters.

the punch that takes someones head fo is the punch he doesnt see, and canelo doesnt do a good job of hiding his uppercuts for the most part.

marquez, judah and rigo all have great uppercuts. lara too when he uses it.
