I would say probably top 8.

Right now, I would consider Floyd, Sweet Pea, and DLH in their primes as better boxers all around than Rigo, and Rigo isn't getting any younger.

Rigo is a technical wizard, it's just beautiful to watch him.

i'd have to go through the resume of other great amateurs. the amateurs are different today that they were in the past. many different countries keep their guys in the amateurs until they're adults. amateurs of the past usually turned professional to make money.

      he could be.

Rigo should go dismantle the Featherweight division after beating LSC and Frampton(if he beats Kiko)

Imagine how clueless Rigo would make Gary Russell Jr. look.

Rigo definitely has ATG skills. It's a shame that Rigo is the most ducked fighter in a threadbare division.

are you going to ignore the fact that we're forced to look at that fight because rigondeaux has done virtually nothing when compared to historic greats?

cordoba is one of his best wins, FFS.

Nope. Pernell Whitaker was a far better pure boxer but Rigo is a marvel. Pernell was more dynamic, economically efficient and purposeful about what he was doing. Whitaker also had a higher ring IQ and much better defense (obviously).

He's an incredible talent. I love that he punches with bad intentions and real power.
