rigondeaux makes spectacular fighters look like journeymen. that is truly amazing.

this guy is at least trolling.

    dancov is serious.

he thinks g man walked through the benn punches [benn literally beat G man into a coma,] and he thinks guillermo rigondeaux is the best pure boxer of all time.

not the best amateur boxer, not the best ever for his amount of fights, just the overall best boxer of all time.

who knows what fights he's looking at, because we're evidently not allowed to look at the cordoba fight.

Do you think he's the best amatuer boxer ever?

        the list goes on

Oh yes Willie Pep, the very slow, glass jawed supposed defensive wizard who lost to every bit of half decent quality he ever faced. You see Lara moves like him only far more fluidly = RUNNER! Pep does it, crossing his feet and off balance in the process = Best defensive fighter ever!

The problem you have is this you all take these guys and assume they are this and that over a huge padded record.
        225-15, must be good.
What does he beat Rigo based on? The minds of so called 'historians' who still own a black and white TV?
Half a dozen blurry films of him look not very impressive at all?

I'm done I just can't take it seriously when these early pioneers are brought up who was good for their respected eras but actually highly flawed.
Fans, historians have to spend years piecing together enough **** just to make a highlight reel of them looking somewhat respectable.
''Oh that was a nice side step, I'll use that, 1 second of what we will describe as ''subtle defense''

Let me tell you this because this is reality that above doesn't win a single round against Rigondeaux and gets mopped, creamed, cremated against any half decent featherweight of 70 and beyond.

How many southpaws did Willie Pep face? Compose a list, I will wait.

Look at his jab lol and that flawed right hand. This guy is an ATG and supposedly more skilled than Ward, Toney, B-Hop, Rigo, Floyd etc? Please!

          Hhahaaa look at him

No. He's not. Its easy to look good against lethargic oposition. Yes, Donaire was good, but did he looked very good in his fights prior to Rigo? Fighters who wouldn't play his game and brawl with him like Arce and Montiel. Donaire looked like crap against another defensive southpaw in Narvaez, he won based on his sheer size and strenght. I do rate the Donaire win high in terms of legacy, but not really on terms of H2H combat prowess. Donaire was made to Rigondeaux - A big puncher who can't really pressure and can't box really box, who mostly used his superior speed and power to catch guys coming at him.

And its kinda easy to forget him being rocked back and forth by Marroquin and having a very tough fight with shopworn Cordoba.

Come on, Pernell Whitaker made guys like Julio Cesar Chavez, Azumah Nelson, Jose Luiz Ramirez and Oscar Dela Hoya look like bar brawlers.

actually benn head butt G-man into a coma and after that he put the beating on him, it was not until he hurt with his head that G-man slowed down and you always bring cordovas fight when talking about Rigondeaux, his first 12 rounder on his 6 professional fight and still cordova couldn't touch him, common man if you hate the guy just come out and say it, but the cordova thing is getting old, by the way I'm not saying he is the greatest just in case you take that route...

Are you going to ignore that this was Rigo's 7th pro fight for an interim world title?

Rigo definitely has ATG skills. It's a shame that Rigo is the most ducked fighter in a threadbare division.
