Pacquiao:The last great Brawler?

Being a brawler doesn't mean a fighter is not technically sound. Erik Morales is another perfect example of a brawler but isn't crude like Rios or Maidana.
I agree Pac had a brawler mindset in the lower weights but definitely not in the higher ones.
I believe being a brawler is more a mentally than an actual boxing style.Comment

Very good post.Pac was brawler in his early days and somewhat a swarmer in some of his fights but he's was never like joe fraziers, armstrong, jcc, jlc,etc who are stylisticly swarmers and are very effecient on the inside...one could argue that pac doesnt even have an inside game and doesnt prefer it reason why he gets hit a lot during clinches.. his mobility, the in and out movement, the abilty to switch angles to attack and avoid attack, combined with controlled agression, imo suggest he has evolved into a boxer puncher...just my 2 cents
Anyways, so name the Brawlers guys. I think I misinterperated.. GGG not a brawler, ok.
Nihito Arakawa and Leo Santa Cruz would be quality definition of brawlers right?
Offensive fighters all fight in their own style really.Comment

James Kirkland is the epitome of a brawler. Mother****er don't care about technique or flashy ****. He just wants to murder you.Comment

You will know if a fighter is a brawler when the fight analyst says they fight on a phone booth.

I wouldn't really consider Pacquaio a brawler.
Aggressive and offensive yes but not really a brawler type alothough he doesn't shy away from a brawl.
Brawl with Pacquaio though he beats you everytime. He's too fast in both feet and hands to brawl with.Comment
