    Pacquiao:The last great Brawler?

With Counterpunchers/defensive boxers now dominating the sport(Mayweather,Klitschko,Rigo) now dominating the sport.

Can it be agreed that Pacquiao is "The last Great Brawler"

    He's not a brawler

But if a fighter tries to brawl with him, pacquaio would bust the opponents face up

Lol He's not a brawler, so no. In his early career he was a swarmer, and now in his late career he's become a full-blown boxer.

The term brawler sounds too crude, I prefer to call him an offensive minded fighter, which there seems to be plenty today. GGG, Kovalev, Matthysse, Maidana, Thurman, Porter, Santa Cruz, Lomanchenko, ect. However, it remains to be seen if any of those fighters go on to be considered great or at least hall of fame worthy.

I think a perfect definition of a brawler is maybe Nihito Arakawa?

Pac was brawler in his early days and somewhat a swarmer in some of his fights but he's was never like joe fraziers, armstrong, jcc, jlc,etc who are stylisticly swarmers and are very effecient on the inside...one could argue that pac doesnt even have an inside game and doesnt prefer it reason why he gets hit a lot during clinches.. his mobility, the in and out movement, the abilty to switch angles to attack and avoid attack, combined with controlled agression, imo suggest he has evolved into a boxer puncher...just my 2 cents
