Anyway, Fury won't be champ for long. The Steelhammer will tax that ass next time around.
Vlad at home sees Hayden and she says "Dr SteelHammer dear?" Dr SH turns around "yes my little cupcake?" "Well doctor I have to redo the room where you keep the belts what shall we do?" The young couple look at each other...pause think for a while...look at each other then Vlad snaps his fingers!"Oh my little cupcake I have the most perfect idea! I will temporarily loan my belts to that Gypsy manicy fellow who I am fightin' he could certainly use them and I am quite sure he can take care of them for a while..."

Hayden smiles "oh herr doctor Steel Hammer, you are so smart! that would work well!" "well then cupcake it is done! i will not throw punches and let the Gypsy fellow have a quick victory, you can clean the room and then when we have the rematch I can spark him out and put the belts back after you redo the room." "ok herr doctor just make sure he does not put the belts in a smelly trailer in the caravan" "No problem cupcake I shall out it in the contract."

    And there you have it.

Had it been a 15 rounder , Wlad would not have opened up till that 15 round because knowing the finishing line was upon him is what gave him that moments bravery. As well as seeing Fury reach around to pull up his shorts.
Burt, have you considered a penis transplant.

If Wlad can keep up that pace for twelve rounds I'd be shocked. He'd be doing something we've never seen him do, and at 40 years of age I don't think that's realistic.

At any rate, I'm not sure it'll net him any more success than his previous strategy. We're all aware of Fury's past. He loves an old school tear up, and isn't afraid to mix it up against anyone. Hurt him, drop him, it doesn't matter, he'll get back up and knick your ass. Such is his self belief that Wlad would literally have to knock him unconscious to win. Perfectly feasible given his power, but likely? I'm not so sure. Fury's not going to give him any easy openings the way he did Cunningham and Pajkic, nor will he just stand there letting Wlad tee off on him. Wlad would need to fight out of his skin to get Fury to go down and stay down, and I don't know if he has that in him.

Urgh, don't give Elroy ideas. He's probably reading this and nodding his head vigorously saying "Yes! Yes! That's exactly what happened!"

          • I hope Fury wins the rematch, it's time for Wlad to go.

            Wilder-Fury baby

When Wlad in the rare instances let his hands go he looked the far superior boxer/fighter, Fury looked edgy throughout. I don't at all believe it is time for him to call it a day.

For everyone saying Klitschko was gunshy was Fury that much better, arguably yes but his performance was as close to abject if Wlad's was.

I get that, I wouldn't doubt Wlad in the rematch. In fact, Wlad took just about every hard shot from Fury. ****** it up, it didn't faze him. I can see Wlad winning with KO if he approaches the rematch like he did in the 12th round.

Wlad has nothing to prove, he tried passing Joe Louis's record of most defenses... but that's long gone now, he can still try to Unify I suppose. But if he happens to beat Fury he should just retire. He's proved enough.

Are you kidding Wlad can continue and do another 25 consecutive defences...... Of course you're right man, but their are other records to pursue. I also feel the record of Wlad's is superior to that of Louis regardless, with Louis' hiatus and monthly appearances etc.

When I rewatched the fight I also noted Fury could never really hurt Wlad, this was all the more frustrating knowing Klitschko stood off as much as he did.

I would be disappointed if Klitschko did not open up and win by ko in the rematch.

                  • wlad thought he can win on defence as he always (since brewster) did, but he can't.

he need offence and pressure. long range, jab and control forget it. it could have worked against wilder, but fury just forget it.

                    • Wladimir's chin is strong enough to walk through Fury's shots as evidenced by the fight.

All he has to do is ditch the defence-always attitude for this fight and press forward and he has Fury beat.

The defence-always approach is perfect when he fights his huge puncher opponents that will KO him for mistakes but against light-hitting Fury it's the wrong plan.
