But you are beaten here.. Badly beaten...

    Let it go!
    Thank you.

Well I disagree. Saying Wlad is shot or won 5 rounds are equally ridiculous.

      What?

How the hell do you even get the impression that I might think that Tyson Fury would have dominated Lennox Lewis?

Utterly unbelievable what garbage and lack of logic gets thrown around here!

        Winning 5 rounds?

Ok I'll come to the party here. You can make a great case for Wlad winning 3 or 4 rounds, but 5 entails gifting Wladimir all the close ones which would be Wlad biased.

The fact of importance though is that MOST of the rounds were close, there was really no "dominant performance" in practically any round really.

It was a bit of a snoozer, far from the exciting and brief encounter I envisioned like when Wladimir has previously faced larger fighters.

        Wladimir shot??

Well he's CERTAINLY shot in the sense he has massively declined, a shadow of his former self and needs to retire, even if he DOES beat Fury in the repeat. Because it will inevitably happen again and again now. To many people, this constitutes being "shot".

Myself, well I think he has enough in the gall and nouce to be able to defeat Fury and maybe go a little further on a fight by fight basis.

However his ultimate dream of unifying now is a thing of the past, Wladimir definitely does not have what it takes any longer to "thoroughly" dominate the division anymore, but he would STILL be among the very top contenders of course and regular champion.

I for one do not think he should go down the Holyfield, Botha, McCall path of bummifying themselves for the glory of the next generation of boxers, that would be a shame. Go out on a high note I reckon.

Fury Wlad II should be his last fight win or lose imo.

Good to hear that. 5 rounds would definitely be biased.

I can appreciate giving the close rounds to the champion, which means 3-4 rounds isn't out of the question. But I don't think Wlad had 1 solid round in the entire fight.

That's just my opinion, and I've watched it a couple of times now.

I don't see why Wlad couldn't fight and beat pretty much all of the other contenders still. He looked pretty quick on his feet in there with Fury and had lighter feet than both against Povetkin, Pulev & Jennings. We didn't get to see much of the power but I attribute that to Fury.

The difference between Wlad and those guys is that he isn't broke and isn't likely to be broke. Smart fella. He'll retire if he loses to Fury in the rematch.

Yes - the biggest culprit being you.

              • I think we can all agree that Lennox would've handled Wladimir rather comfortably.

Has that ever been up to debate?

Fury fought with intelligence, and actually did exactly what he had to do to win. I think very, very few people really believed he would do it just that way - which made it look impressive all the more.
9 rounds to 3 is the right scorecard. No "shut-out" as you say, BUT, Fury did shut Wladimir DOWN!
