  • Why Does Andre Ward Not Move Up to 175lbs and fight Sergey Kovalev?

    Just to even things up....

Made a thread yesterday about Golovkin's thoughts on a potential Andre Ward fight.

Ward (and his fans) like to go around saying that GGG is ducking him because he won't move up in weight to fight him.

OK then for argument's sake, let's say GGG is ducking. So why doesn't Ward move up in weight to fight Sergey Kovalev? Both are on HBO, both need a big fight.

    Why is Ward so reluctant?

That's what I want to know.

Ward should have moved to 175 to fight Dawson and remained there

BECAUSE If Darnell Boone could floor Ward like he did and hurt him pretty bad what would Kovalev do If he catches Ward flush?
Never mind Kovalev what about Adonis as well both of those guys are huge punchers.

I don't understand it. He's mentioned 175 before, and Kovalev is one of the best fights he could be involved in. I'm confident he'd win, too.

It's like Ward has decided Chavez, Golovkin, or nothing at all.

Its because Kovalev doesn't have slow feet and uses angles.

He wouldn't be able to clinch, wrestle & spoil his way to a boring ass decision

Because - Slick bruvas >>>>>>>> Euro chumps.

Seriously though. Ward is wasting his career for God knows why.

I don't even care about Ward anymore. Doesn't seem like he wants to fight.

                  He has made himself irrelevant.

ward has no ambition any more. he wants lucrative, safe fights against chavez jr, froch and golovkin, and then he will retire.
