Mayweather should be criticized for the glove issue but I don't feel bad for Maidana anymore now that I've heard him admit that he came in at 170lbs for a WW fight. I hate guys that ballon up several weight classes on fight night!

Maidana had the advantage in youth, size and punching power and he still fell short....he's no better than Mayweather in trying to gain an unfair advantage by coming in as a ****ing super middle weight on fight night. They deserve each other...........

Why shouldn't u?? The makings for a dud rematch are there. Floyds not gonna let Chino use his preferred gloves and he's already talking about the way the ref will handle the rematch (very strict meaning very strict on Maidana) Just throw some head gear on Floyd and he will be all set.

Mayweather is too powerful and everybody has to kiss his ass. He should not be allowed to tell his opponent he can't wear a pair of legal approved gloves. No other boxer gets to do that. He shouldn't be allowed to cancel the fight if he doesn't get his way on the gloves. He should get the hell sued out of him if refuses to fight. He bigger than boxing but I lost respect for him when he wouldn't let Maidana use legal gloves or fight Canelo at the standard 154 pounds limit Jr. middleweight title fights are always fought at. He is a spoiled ****** rich punk. I hope Maidana knocks his ***ing head off.

Are you new to boxing? Only reason I is ask because fighters being forced to wear gloves chosen by other boxers many times before, and it will happen many times after. Most notably which has been said on these boards numerous times, DLH forcing Mayweather to use the gloves DLH wanted. Miguel Cotto forcing Mayweather to use 10 ounce gloves, then the night of the fight forcing Mayweather to fight in a different set of gloves because the custom set had patent leather stitched to the thumb, which was discovered by ****im. Mayweather had to have his gloves flown in from his house in LA. The only reason this has been talked about is because it's Mayweather. Its the same people who bash Mayweather on every thread.

If floyd dont at least let maidana wear 8oz cleto reyes gloves i'll be very dissapointed and probly not buy the fight! Give him a chance to win.

I can truly say that I have never heard the brand of a glove as the reason to avoid purchasing a fight

Guys, Maidana acts like the gloves make him what he is and it will lead him to victory. Why is that? The MX gloves have a flaw where the horse hair can be moved and redistributed to the wrist and front of the gloves exposing the knuckle area. If you have never had your hands wrapped and laced them up, you should say anything. Those of us who have know the difference. Any advantage against Mayweather is okay because you hate on him. He is the most complete fighter of our generation. Give him his props. Don't worry Pac-Man is going to get. Believe me!!!!

Your argument fails, Maidana wearing punchers gloves is not an advantage, punchers gloves are withing the rules of boxing, meaning ANYONE is allowed to wear them, Flloyd can wear them if he wants. It's the fighters choice to what feels better on their hands.
