Floyd took advantage at the last minute in the last fight, the fight before that, he threatened to walk away from the fight during negotiations if Canelo didn't agree.

You don't and can't take advantage, during negotiations, of the highest grossing athlete in the world....that simply does not happen.

Im confused by you response. Are you saying Floyd Does takes advantages and thats ok? or are you saying other fighters cant take advantage of Mayweather because hes the highest grossing athlete in the sport? or are you saying that no high grossing boxer has ever tried to take advantages during negotiations before Mayweather?

What I find most funny about this debate is how people just blatantly skip right over the fact that the first gloves were clearly under padded, more so then the usual MX gloves. Ellerbe caught it commission agreed and yet Garcia continued to fight for that same set. Eventually the second set was brought in, but Garcia still complained about not being able to use the first set that everyone agreed were illegal. You do realize that until Ellerbe pointed out the gloves were under padded those same gloves were originally approved by the commission, so basically if not for Ellerbe, Maidana would have fought with a pair of illegally padded gloves, with the potential of severely harming his opponent, but you all would have been fine with that because it's Mayweather.

I don't really care what happened next, or what happens now, the reality is that those gloves were clearly less padded then the usual pair of MX gloves, and no one knows why. No investigation, nothing. Yet people have the nerve to say "but he don't get to use his gloves". Lmao, and for those who say MX is thin padded, yes that's true, but in the YouTube video you can clearly see the difference in the two sets of gloves when they were both tested, the original set Maidana was going to use looked as if there was no padding.

I don't want to hear anything about gloves until we know why that first set were poorly padded.

If it were me I would do the same, you tried to fight me with some fcukd up gloves you got caught, now you have loss all privileges to choose your gloves, Fcuk you very much and thanks for playing. 100% of you would do the same.
Floyd made sure this time Maidana can't wear any MX gloves but pillow gloves. So this long garbage theory of yours is full of s*h*t.

From PED experts to accountants now the floydiots became a glove experts.

The only thing thats full if schit is your mouth because the first gloves were illegal they were poorly padded and the commission agreed they were illegal. Thats not a theory thats a fact. And by the way Cotto was wearing everlast mx gloves when he fought Martinez and they looked nothing like the ones Maidana wanted to wear.

Most notably which has been said on these boards numerous times, DLH forcing Mayweather to use the gloves DLH wanted. Miguel Cotto forcing Mayweather to use 10 ounce gloves, then the night of the fight forcing Mayweather to fight in a different set of gloves because the custom set had patent leather stitched to the thumb, which was discovered by ****im. Mayweather had to have his gloves flown in from his house in LA. The only reason this has been talked about is because it's Mayweather. Its the same people who bash Mayweather on every thread.

dude, how in the world can you follow/support floyd after this ***** his pulling? be a man and let your opponent wear whatever he wants ans long as its approved it shouldnt matter. and its always the same slicksters who run from thread to thread to defend him mouth first. tbe my azz gtfoh.....:****you:

I dont follow nor do I support Mayweather, I am a boxing fan and Mayweather's skill is the PEAK of the sport. The reality is that A side boxers have chose B sides gloves before Mayweather did it and it aint a big deal. The fact that anyone would continue to say this is some evidence of Mayweather being a pu$$y is Idiocy at its peak. And Im not defending Mayweather I am asking the question about the original gloves that were found to be illegal. could care less what happens during negotiations I watch boxing for what fighters do in the ring, and thats where they garner my respect or my disdain, the only time I care about pre fight issues is when it threatens the fight being made or when someone is caught cheating.

question. Do you have to wear brand-new boxing gloves for the fight? Like spar and train with the pillow type gloves to break them in a bit.. I have no clue any feedback would be cool.
