The hardest part about being on top is dealing with the critics below you.

The hardest part about being on top is dealing with the the critics below you when they know what they are talking about. Please answer this question. Why did mayweather retire after the ricky hatton fight? He stated that he has nothing left to prove, eventhough cotto was 31-0 in the same weight division?

I crack up every time someone brings this dumb ass logic up. He was off for 12 months. The injury to his ribs during his training camp made it longer. That's not a long 'retirement'. So basically you're saying that in a 12 month span , all of the threats to Mayweather, all of which were conveniently on Top Rank, became washed up and shot....and yet the same people are still begging him to fight Pacquiao and saying he's scared, even though Pacquiao has looked like **** and been knocked out in his last few fights.

Please go look at the video. Its the post fight interview he had in the ring. Oh and about the top rank crap excuse that ya use. He didnt want to fight cotto then, it wasnt until the pacquiao stuff that he started using the "top rank excuse", which was years later. NEXT EXCUSE.

Is that pic of Maidana pointing a gun at the Mayweather gym real?

What does anything you just posted have to do with what I just said? If anything the video validates exactly what I just said. He was off for 12 months. Whats the problem? I'll ask again: You're saying that in a 12 month span that all of the fighters you say he ducked went over the hill? Do you think he's scared to fight Pacquiao right now?

And now all of the sudden Top Rank, Mayweather and Golden Boy never had issues? This site has some of the dumbest and most bias posters on any boxing forum.

I think you need to learn how to read. The video I posted was of the post fight interview after the ricky hatton fight. "boxing is not gonna retire me, ima retire from boxing." Why did he need the year lay off for? Please answer me that. No and I did NOT say that they went over the hill? Where in any of my posts have i ever said that? None. Cottos style of fighting of what made him a beast in the 140 147 lbs division was a different style of cotto by the time he fought mayweather, 6 years later. Come one bro are you that blind?

Sometimes the body needs a rest. Floyd had been going hard for a minute. And for that personwho said he didnt want to fight Cotto while they were at top rank, didnt do their homework. Arum prevented that fight from happening. Floyd wanted ten million, and arum only wanted to give him seven.

Have you considered the fact that his body possibly needed a rest?

You didn't flat out say that Cotto was over the hill, but you have certainly suggested it. Why else would you bring up a 1 year lay off? What difference does it make if he took a year off? You think that he ran away from the division - right or wrong? Were Cotto, Margarito and Pacquiao not with Top Rank? Did Top Rank, Floyd and Goldenboy not have issues?

What am I missing? What am I not reading correctly?
