Look at it this way. If DKP really wanted to unify the titles he would have taken the chance with Byrd/Ruiz instead of feeding them **** fights.

That was a nothing fight, and in that time Ruiz lost and got the title back in two very attractive match ups. Ruiz was ****, but he fought decent opposition.
Valuev vs Brewster is potentially a money fight if North America buys the King Kong giant stuff, and there aren't many money fights at Heavyweight right now.
I think there's a better chance of it happening than you think.Comment

Originally posted by badbloodValuev's market is about as close as 0% as it can get in the US, if DKP wishes to sell him to the american public then he ought to fight him here. I just dont see Valuev holding that belt for very long for he is as overrated as it gets.
It's no secret his intention is to (attempt to) sell his freakish size to the casual North American boxing fan.Comment

Originally posted by badbloodI just cant imagin Valuev fighting top notch competition and winning.
He's slated to make his North American debut on a King card in Sept, possibly on a double header with Arthur Abraham. Sadly, Kevin McBride is being considerd.
But it's easy to see King's thinking he can capatalize on Valuev's size in trying to sell him as a giant to North American audiences.
The problem is, he won't last long before he's beat.
That's why it makes sense to throw him in with Brewster late this year. It would build up Brewster's marketability when he knocks him out.Comment

Funny you'd leave him out.
What an idiot you are. [Sorry, I'll just call you the way you call people.]
Vitaliy fought WBC number 1 ranked fighters (at the moment of the fights): Lennox (Champion), Kirk Johnson, Corrie, and Williams. It is not his fault that WBC ranked them as such.Comment
