He could have signed against Paolo Vidoz, Danny Williams, Sultan Ibragimov, Ray Austin, Oleg Maskaev, David Tua, Sam Peter, etc. All would have signed and all are better fighters than this inactive tool.

I don't think there's any question that there were better marginal fighters out there, but for the 4th or 5th time, Brewster has faced better opposition and fought more frequntly than any of the other title holders.

This isn't as bad as your complaining is making it out to be.

In defense of Brewster, I have to say that he couldn't sign ****. It was all in King's hands and there is no way in hell Brewster will fight a fighter who doesn't belong to King. Brewster is the last HW champion that King has, all these talks about tune-up fight are ******, Brewster is doing what King is telling him to do and will be fighting meaningless fights just like Ruiz and Byrd were doing.

lol, you can add Vitali Klitschko to that 'meaningless fights' list.

          Funny you'd leave him out.

You have some nerve bitching about fighters not fighting the best when you idolize Vitali and Wlad.

Do you think before you type?

Like I said before, I like Brewster. But this fight is a waste, DKP has been trying to pawn Sergi off for one of his champs for a year now and he's finally done it. DKP has been giving us garbage fights for years now and he continues that trend into today.

And like I said before it's difficult for me to listen to a guy who was up in arms about not getting to watch Oleg Maskaev fight for a title talking about a fight being a 'waste' for boxing viewers.

All the other title holders have had soft defenses like this, some many times over.

It may not be an attrative match up, but Brewster deserves some slack when you look at the recent standard.

And he will continue to get soft matchups as long as he fights under DKP.

He's been under DKP for the last two years while he's been more active and fighting better competition than anyone else with a title.

King's co promoting Valuev now. He'll throw a sacrifice to Valuev in Vegas in the spring to boost his freakshow marketability, and then set up Brewster vs Valuev in the fall.

I seriously doubt DKP will throw them in together.
