when you run as much and you leave the center of the ring to your rival you need to outland by much more than one jab per round to win the fight...
if you want to use the stats dont really help lara that much...
power punch > jab...

It's not like Canelo is a defensive wizard, he's there to be hit. Lara had his chance to beat his ass in front of all Canelo's fans. And I'll admit he landed some clean shots....the big stage was his: and then he decided to jab his way into career suicide. 107 punches landed, 50 of those jabs.

I voted running. Usually ring generalship is using the ring for leverage to open up spots to the boxers advantage not to avoid engagement all together.

Lara did like Dirrell did against Froch. He might had won the boxing match but the excessive running and holding just gave the fight away. It was his fight to lose and he did.
This also shows that Canelo struggles with boxers and his punching power is over-rated

Lara even took it to Molina for that very same reason as well. It's an entirely different situation and I don't think you realize how ****** of a comparison it is. That said, Molina does cut off the ring better than Canelo and he also possesses better foot speed.

You can't really make it a yes or no question...
Truth is yes he did run at times, but not the entire time, he had some rounds where he moved and boxed very well, but then he had some where he just moved and didn't really box

I voted that he ran. I am a Lara fan, but I think after the cut he was a little shook and at times ran. When a fighter puts his arms in a 90 degree angle and jogs to a neautral spot and does not throw that is running. I do believe those body shots were effecting him also. But if I was to blame anyone i would blame Ronnie shields the trainer. No real advice besides double the jab and keep doin what you're doing. As a veteran trainer it seems he has not improved his fighter. When you are on the big stage and a headliner versus a fan/promoter favorite you have to throw more. I believe he ran from victory when it was in his grasp, all he had to do was throw more than jabs and right hooks, he looked good when he threw combos but after I think the 5th round that was few and far between
But then I was thinking.....if Lara had won, he could of been up for a mayweather fight except...both al haymon fighters, no promo license, and personally I think that would be a great match even though if it would happen it would have to be 15+ rounds lol. But boxing purists would enjoy it i believe.
