Don't appreciate someone trying to refer to other countrymen as skinheads when they have no basis for the argument of it relating to boxing.

After seeing all the insults and abuse leveled at Wlad and other European boxers here and on other boxing websites for many years, do you think it's easy to respect the favorite boxers of those haters?

Originally posted by Weebler I View PostHaven't watched much of his career at all, but can't say I enjoy the videos of him running his mouth that are sometimes shown. He comes across really poorly, I probably would have wanted him to lose.
I'm not making excuses for Ali calling frazier the names he did, especially in the build up to their 3rd fight but there was a reason for him going further than he had ever before. To his credit he apologised and it was Frazier who sadly stayed bitter his entire life and tried humiliating him when he was old, PD sufferer and defenseless. I hope they made up on his deathbed.

To say he grew up in a middle class family is kind of a myth tbh. It's more of a WORKING CLASS background. His dad was a sign painter. Ali's upbringing was that of many black folk during the civil rights movement; a working class southerner.

I said and I quote "The majority of boxers come from terrible backgrounds, poverty stricken, grow up in a life that very few here know and understand. They grow up to fight, then when they achieve fame, money, adoration, that fighter doesn't suddenly leave. In fact, that can make things worse because they see it all as a ridiculous fake world they live in"
I never excused Ali nor did I say anything about his background. I was implying that it's wrong to single him out, particularly because of scum like you, when it's incredibly common for boxers to be pretty terrible people, especially when they get rich and famous.
I'm talking boxers in general, not Ali specifically. Got it ******? I'd feel angry and bitter if I grew up surrounded by racist scum like you too.
"They punch people in the face for money. They try to destroy another human for entertainment, to get paid."
"We watch them, and thus give them fame and fortune, for their ability to **** someone else up, not their manners."
See, my ****** friend, my post was explaining that boxing as a sport is full of awful people. From the promoter to the fighters, to the fans, like you. Singling out Ali, particularly for white supremacist racist ****s like your inbred self, doesn't really work because it's too widespread to single one person out. Ali was awful? Ok. Great. So is his promoter.
On the flip side, he did a lot of good too, and is your idols idol. Funny that. Lots of boxers are ****ed up *******s.
Boxers are ****ed up people, and it's precisely that ****ed up, often cruel nature that allows them to be very good at hurting people very badly, which we pay good money to watch for our own twisted pleasure.

I can tell you right now, if I was around that time I wouldve hated the guy. He wouldve been the Floyd or Broner of today. But I wasnt so I enjoy his fights and his style.
