Canelos a mediocre fighter. True "hypejob," IMO

    YDKSAB.

Kovalev has beaten Campillo, a top 5 LHW, and Cleverly, a titleholder.

Golovkin beat Macklin, a top 5 MW, and should beat Geale, another top MW.

Wilder hasn't beaten anyone in the top 50. His best wins are an old Liakhovich, and a questionable knockout over Scott.

GGG and Kovalev may not have great resumes, but they're AMAZING compared to Wilder's.

      lets look at middleweight

golovkin, macklin, Geale, Murray, Quillin. sturm. chavez jr?

now compare that to the so called "weak" 154 pound division.

canelo, lara, mayweather, cotto, angulo, Vanes, Andrade, kirkland, carlos molina, so on

if the 154 pound division is weak middleweight must be a garbage bin..............agree?

In all honesty, MW is better IMO

But MW is not deep at all and even if I agree, what's your point?

Golovkin still beats anyone at 160, including Canelo IMO

Incidentally, Macklin's last fight was against an unbeaten opponent.
no way in hell does murray beat cotto.

        too inactive.

murray sits and waits too much. he stays behind the shell way too often. he waits and waits and waits..........that style is way too high risk against someone like cotto. it's a high chance that he will get outworked sitting and waiting around for the perfect shot.........thats murray, waiting & waiting for the perfect shot.

no way in hell against cotto.

and macklin struggled against a guy that literally had 0 notable wins. the guy had fought mostly guys with only 6 fights.

get real..........he struggled against a total no hoper.

          it's Kovalevs fault

Yeah tha happened last night. Like a week after this:

            And then in response...

Hopkins repeated what he already said. Sounds like Hopkins is the one who just needs to sign the contract

middleweight is a complete garbage fest when compared to 154 (thats my point) it's not even up for debate. and golovkins best opponent are guys like ishida and the crab macklin. even lara has a far better resume then golovkin. far better..........

I will reserve my judgment when golovkin actually takes on the comp that canelo has.........because as of now it's ridiculous.

              • He wouldnt have hanged with the 2002 era junior middles.

He has a style that matches up well against brawlers and slow plodders, if they keep feeding him angulos, he can do well. But he obviously cant handle boxers. The division is weak in 2014 though, there isnt anyone else for him to beat and with him openly ducking GGG at 160 they will continue to match him up with guys he can beat or work the score cards like last night to squeak him by.

if golovkin beats geale thats when his resume officially starts for me. (because geale is a decent fighter. i will be watching that fight closely. i will see what golovkin can do.............

                    • Look either way there is no way you can really mean that the 154lbs division is weak!
Look at how strong the WW division is, you will find some of those big names of that division moving upto 154lbs.
