      And I'm a Lara fan, said he'd embarrass Canelo......man was I wrong

We knew Canelo was a good fighter by him beating Trout and Angulo....but he just beat Lara who you could say had never been beaten decisively.

Major props to Canelo. He's the real deal, adjusted when he needed to, and won he fight against a real good fighter.
great post...we need more posters like you on here!!! you are an unbiased fan!!! i had it a draw but 115-113 for canelo is good too.

But he ran, oh but he should have thrown more punches. But , but, but.
Get the F out of here with that garbge.
Yes he could have thrown more, but the fact remains that he outlander Canelo and hit him with the cleaner punches all night.
Canelo was swinging at air half the time and hitting Lara in the upper tight and arms.He only Lande a couple of head shots with the uppercut that caused the cut being his cleanest punch of the fight.

But of course every body and their mother knew that this was going to happen. It was talked about a lot well before the fight. And there was no way Lara was going to get a decision.
Not when Canelo is the goose that lays the golden eggs for Oscar.

There will be no rematch nor should there be.

Did anyone really not expect this to be the outcome.

Close fight with the guy coming forward looking to make the fight throwing the heavier blows getting the nod over the one who's constantly backing up throwing defensive shots.

Lara should be banned from all future PPV fights. Nobody wants to pay that kind of money to watch someone run for 12 rounds.

I'll admit, there was a lot of close rounds. Here is the deal though, 1 person is pushing the action and the other is just flat out running. When you have a situation like that, all close rounds should go to the aggressor, not the runner. This was a PPV fight and people paid good money to watch 2 gladiators go to war, but instead, they got to watch someone run a marathon around the ring for 12 rounds. That is worse then getting a big present for your birthday, then you open it and find there is only a pair of sox in it.

how exactly do you define pushing the action? just cuz alvarez is moving forward doesnt really mean anything. you can say alvarez is pushing the action by coming forward but i could just as easily say lara is luring him into traps to set off the action which he did many times. alvarez would get him close to the ropes then you see lara initiate the offense before moving away. even if lara is moving around if he gets off first in any engagement then you can't say alvarez is pushing the action.

i believe the stats show lara threw more punches and landed more. he outlanded alvarez in 7 rounds, alvarez outlanded him in 3 and they tied in 2 if i remember that screenshot correctly. so to say alvarez pushed the action is inaccurate they were both pretty much equally active. alvarez moving forward doesnt mean he's scoring points. paulie even made a note where alvarez was in punching range of lara but it was lara who would get off first. now obviously there are many instances that alvarez got off first but there were just as many were lara would throw punches with no response from alvarez so how can you say alvarez was pushing the fight the whole time.

also anyone expecting lara to stand and trade is ****** cuz that's not how he fights. that would be like expecting juanma to go in there and box intelligently.
