Everybody knew Lara wouldn't get the decision so no controversy IMO

Lara should have let his hands go more and stood on his punches. He should have watched the Mayweather fight, you can beat Canelo inside but instead Lara 1 Punch Circle no Counter

117-111 was bad though, much closer than that 6-5-1 either way IMO

I agree that 117-111 score was some BS but Canelo won this fight by 2-3 rounds easy. After the second round Lara stopped throwing and starting avoiding.
Lara knew he needed to dominate to win and he didn't have the will to do it.

Lara won the first three rounds with good boxing, then Canelo took over and Lara did mostly running NOT boxing.

Tbh a draw or a round either way was fair. But 117-111 thats crazzy yo. I hope canelo doesnt get criticsm for this like danny garcia. This was a 50/50 fight not a showcase in puerto rico. I had it 115-113 for lara but I need to watch it again. Hes style is too risky man you cant afford to just steal rounds you have to win rounds.

Close fight. I personally had Lara by 1 or 2 rounds, at worst a tie, but I knew canelo would get the decision. In a close fight the most aggressive fighter gets the decision. Think Lara gave a good account for himself though and this fight won't hurt him going forward. No way canelo gives him a rematch though
