understandable, but given Danny Garcia and Lamont Peterson are fighting on a card next month, knocking out 2 other credible Junior Welters what credible opponents are left for Matthysse & Broner

fighting vs one another on the Mayweather undercard would seem the best option, but that looks out right now

I understand your point that its disappointing broner v matts isn't on floyd's undercard or headlining the 9/6 card.

That said, shouldn't you know what the card is before criticizing it? In JoeMan's case he didn't criticize other return dates without opponents, so I'm trying to guage why.

Anywho, they have to stop announcing fights without opponents. We're fans of fighters but we care about match ups too. The strategy actually backfires when these guys struggle with the opponents in their appearance fights. The fighters' fans lose faith in their guy. I hope Haymon/SHO/GBP and everyone else in boxing begin to realize this #realquick.

I saw it in another thread and it made me chuckle out of shame mostly.

I hope they don't reach for Salka type opponents for Broner and Matthysse. That should not be a trend, where not looking good enough in your showcase fight means you get an even easier showcase fight for a do-over.

how can you criticize a card when you don't know whose on it. Also, when GGG and Kovalev announced dates without opponents, did you trash the card?

The problem is that these are two guys that every single boxing fan wanted to see fight eachother. Announcing they will be fighting the same night but not eachother is just saying that you refuse to put them against eachother becuase clearly they can afford to have them on the same card and clearly they are ready to fight at the same time. There is no excuse for them not to make the fight. Please throw out any 2 opponents you want and tell me that either of those fights are better than Broner-Matthysse. It is impossible because the only other two meaningful guys in the division are fighting on August 9th, again on the same card without fighting eachother. We want to see the best possible fights and the best possible fight that could be that night is Broner-Matthysse. Please stop making excuses for this man ruining the sport.
