More pros are faster head movement and a quicker jab, Maidana needs to set traps, and sneak power shots behind his jab and mix it up often when Floyd is in range.

Yeah I'm not a May hater.. I think he's done a lot for the sport. But I was in agreement with the judge that had it even.. Maidana put too many early rounds in the bank and had spots of success in the latter half as well. Of note to me are the championship rounds which could have gone either way. May was doing an Srl in some of those rounds... letting Maidana get points early in the round, then trying to steal the round in the last minute or so. Doesn't necessarily fly with me... A few flashy lead rights doesn't discount the left hook Maidana landed in the center of the ring in an exchange and his body work on the ropes early in that round. Maidana to me got 4 of the first 6 rounds.. The 8th. And the 12th.
I think more speed and stamina will tip the balance.. If Maidana can keep up a grueling pace for longer.. it will only help him. He gassed a bit in the mid rounds.
Pretty good. But Chino will not be weight drained if he doesn't come in at a fight weight of 165. If anything.. He looked wan and gaunt to me at the weigh in because they tried to send him in too heavy and made him dehydrate way too much to make weight.
As for the rest... I think Chino's left hook is keyComment

I also like that video of Floyd's pull counter being countered by Chino's right hand to the chest, but instead of the left jab right hand, maybe Chino should throw a left jab or a feint left jab and then come back upstairs with a left hook to catch him as he's shooting his right hand pull counter
My thing is I've seen Maidana land the jab .. And if he can land that he can land a straight lead right. I like the lead right, left hook when he has Floyd cornered... Or for a more complete combo, jab, right, left hook upstairs or downstairs...followed by perhaps a right uppercut if May hasn't got out of Dodge by then.
Also if he lands a jab or feints a jab upstairs in the center of the ring.. I like a straight right to the body to close distance.. Followed by a tight left hook.
I think whenever he throws his hook he should throw with bad intent...more so even than with his right. But I'm not crazy about Maidana throwing the lead left hook.. He should always conceal it behind a combinationComment

Margarito and Williams had the blue print on hoe to beat Floyd, hence the reason Floyd avoided both. Maidana did what those two were going to do and it worked. Too bad Maidana was smaller but still won the fight in my opinion. Floyd hugged like the b1tch she is.Comment

theres a guy here that has a GIF of mayweather doing a faint following a straight right, and gets caught with maidanas straight right and his legs was wobbled for a sec, imagine with actual punchers gloves.Comment
