    Great fighter.

Wish he would have rematched Klitschko instead of retiring though.

Lewis was mandatory to the WBC title that Tyson won from Frank Bruno. Don King/Tyson paid Lewis step aside money to not fight Tyson.

Tyson paid Lewis not to fight him and gave up his belt.

        Duckery of the highest order.

With regards to Holyfield, I explained why Lewis made him great in a post or two after.

great fighter H2H. his power, size, jab / style, and underrated chin give any HW ever huge problems.

he'd knock wladimir into next week. their chins are on a different level, and wladimir wouldn't be able to jab jab grab all night on a dude with longer arms who is strong enough to handle him in clinches.
Old Wlad I agree, but the new Wlad I can possibly see him stopping Lewis. He has better stamina and a great defense. Not to mention one of the best jabs and right hands ever.

Damn. Do you think he was scared, or do you think that Holyfield was clearly the bigger draw/fan favorite and brought in more $$?

              Bit of both.

Tyson said for about 4 years that he needed "one more fight" before being ready for Lennox. He clearly didn't fancy the fight.

Problem is, Wlad doesn't have much more than that.

Wladimir is a poor man's Lewis. Lewis does everything he does better and more.

Tyson fought Bruce Seldon instead of Lewis in an absolute farce of a fight where Seldon took a dive in the first minute of the fight.

I think they knew that Tyson wasn't ready for Lewis and would likely get knocked out, putting a halt to his comeback.

I see. Thanks for the insight.
