If the cold war is over why is Pacquiao still fighting a top rank fight that is non deserving such as Algeri.

There's Amir Khan, Shawn Porter, Keith Thurman, even Matthyse would jump for joy to fight Pacquiao.

Because the cold war is NOT over. We still don't know if Haymon will advise his people to fight TR fighters under the Top Rank Promotions banner. I heard Arum say Danny Garcia was a no-go, but he never stated why, and this was before Salka was in the picture. Arum said he reached out to Amir Khan, but Arum has been known to be a habitual liar. Haven't heard Khan's side of the story. So the truth is that the COLD WAR is as cold as ever.

If I'm not correct Gary Russel was a Haymon fighter and allowed to fight Lomachenko.

And there is also talks of Broner Vs Lopez, another Haymon Vs Top Rank fight.
So it leds me to believe that Pacquiao just isn't able to fight Haymon or Goldenboy fighters.

Newsflash: "garbage man" ,as you refer to undefeated Chris Algieri as, will DEFEAT Manny Pacquiao and take the WBO 147 Belt. And this fight WILL sell ppv. Over 1 million people tuned in to watch Ruslan fight Algieri. Algieri was brought in as sacrificial lamb, just as he will be for this fight.....but as before a new champion will emerge. Algieri isnt going anywhere. They are underestimating Algieri again....and the result will be the same as the last 2 times he was underestimated.

Ruslan's style was a bad match up for Algieri...he will do better against a guy like Pacquiao because they both can box. Algieri does better against other guys who have good boxing skill. It will be an active and entertaining fight
