And to think Arum called for a boycott of Mayweather vs. Maidana. Since when did we start comparing Pacquiao to Danny Garcia? Isn't Pacquiao supposed to be on the level with Mayweather, Cotto, and Canelo? Isn't Pacquiao the WBO Welterweight Champion? This is BS! I don't EVER want to hear Manny fans talk about "cherry-picking." Maidana, Canelo, Cotto, Guerrero, and Ortiz are all better opponents than Algeri!

This is comparable to Marquez vs Alvarado... except this will be on PPV and Algieri is an actual champion coming off a win.

They should make the PPV cheaper since Algieri is an unknown to casuals. But yea, that's not gonna happen.

Provo is more of a knockout threat... But the reality is he took a loss against Algieri. So a Provo-PAC fight wouldn't be feasible. And of course, they share Roach as their trainer.

Algieri beat Provo... so he was given priority.

Not sure why people are complaining, who else can fight Pac who isn't an Al Haymon fighter? And didn't Floyd say there's a surprise in May so what if it's indeed Pac, don't you want Pac and Floyd to easily win their fights?

Also didn't many Pac haters say Pac only beats defeated fighters? Algieri is undefeated and defeated Provodnikov, a dangerous fighter. Hypocrite fans at its finest.

Luis Abregu would've been a more worthy opponent for the WBO Welterweight Champion than Chris Algeri. It wouldn't be a big PPV draw, but at least Abregu is WBC Silver Champ, and he only has one loss to Bradley. Besides Abregu is signed with TR. How can you justify saying no to Abregu, then go down in weight and pick a guy who is NOT with TR. Arum sucks!

In other words, GBP won't let Arum have rights or complete promotional rights over a GBP/Haymon fighter vs Pacquiao, so Arum is so desperate to have 100% control over the promotion of Pacquiao's fights that he has to negotiate this joke of a fight.

This fight will get 250K PPV buys and lower Pacquiao's stock and do nothing for his legacy. Great job resigning with Arum!

Pacquiao should KO this guy in the first two rounds, but I'm assuming Algieri will be running the entire fight not even trying to win after he gets hit with the first clean shot...

I wouldn't be shocked if Algieri just ran the entire fight..and got some kind of inside job Tim Bradley decision though... (you heard it hear first...)

what if this has to do with Floyd's big May announcement? What if he's fighting Pac in May and they want both a sure fire win and a guy who has a style that is a good tuneup for Floyd? Floyd doesnt move that much anymore but he's still a pretty slick pure boxer. It better be something like that or this fight is terrible in 2 ways. It sucks as a fight and Pac might lose which would be the worst thing of all. I wouldnt be shocked if he gave Pac trouble
