It's funny to me. On Saturday night he will be standing across from this guy and trading punches with him. It's a mother ****ing FIGHT. What do you want him to say?

Lara's got a chip on his shoulder. And he's finally getting to express it. At least it wasn't totally random. Canelo's side has been talking trash since the beginning too. Its doing wonders for the hype! It's great!

Given how GBP used to criminally shortchange Lara not too many fights ago, yeah he's got a right to that chip on his shoulder.

Lara is my rooster in this fight, but he just makes me shake my head sometimes. A prime DLH would devastate Lara and derail his career and convert him into a gatekeeper, he needs to respect the legend.

True. Before I was split on this fight, not on who I thought was going to win but who I was rooting for. I wanted both fighters to win for different reasons. Canelo because it will get a huge monkey off his back, that he can't beat boxers and I see him being the potential face of boxing once Floyd and Manny retire. Boxing needs a big young star. However, I also liked Lara's story of defecting from Cuba (As an A's fan, I respect his struggle since Yoenis Cespedes had to leave his home country as well) and being avoided. I also wanted to see him possibly fight Floyd.

Now with all this trash talking, I find myself wanting to see Canelo KO Lara. Trash talking is entertaining but there are different types. Keith Thurman's trash talk is cool and I can back that but this Broner-esque talk from Lara is annoying. It's one thing to say something here and there but it's like Lara is obsessed with Canelo and ODL. Also ODL is a first ballot HOF who Lara wishes he can have half the career he had, and you don't trash talk him like that.

If Lara does win, hopefully he can use that mouthpiece to get him a fight with Floyd or Cotto.
