kovalev is not just a guy with power, he has skills, my eyes are not lying

stevenson is the fight hopkins will take

all those leaping left hooks hopkins threw against shumy are dangerous against a guy like kovalev who can counter punch well with the right hand

and hopkins will definitely not fight the mandatory
he wont put a 49 year old body through a training camp for such a fight and he wont have the motivation

Well that was quite obviously the plan from the start. But there have been a lot of complications. We've literally heard nothing about a Stevenson fight. Now there is a lawsuit against Stevenson (I don't know how much if any this plays a role), Golden Boy in shambles and rebuilding. So things seem to be in limbo for the time being.

B-Hop beats the very flawed Stevenson but will get whacked for his troubles by Kovalev.

He would hit 50 by the time this happens and he will hit the wall as well.
At the end of the day, it's a young mans town and he made some beautiful noise by working in it as long as he has.

10 years ago: absolutely. 5 years ago: probably. Now. I don't think so and I don't want Hopkins to find out. Kovalev is miles ahead of Pavlik. He's mentally MUCH tougher, is a better boxer than Pavlik ever was and packs more of a punch.
