Former champion Austin Trout is tabbing WBC 'regular' junior middleweight beltholder Erislandy Lara (19-1-2, 12KOs) to outbox Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (43-1-1, 31KOs) on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Trout lost a close twelve round unanimous decision to Canelo in April 2013, but then lost a lopsided twelve round decision to Lara beat in December of 2013.

While Trout feels Lara will get the upper hand in the contest, he doesn't expect him to get a decision unless he scores a stoppage victory and he doesn't believe Lara is capable of ending the fight early.

Highly doubt that Lara is going to stop Canelo.

That said, I still think Lara can get a decision. Of course Canelo is the house guy, so it won't be easy, but the only way he's winning this fight is by running away with it on the cards. Which he has the skills to do if he doesn't get hurt by Canelo. Big if doe.

Trout should know, they gave him the nod against Cotto in order to save Cindanelo from a Cotto beat down. The kid is all Oscar has and when they throw money all over the place to protect him people get robbed. Bell they even tried to rob Floyd with that BS 114-114 score...

It was a close fight, heavily influenced by the ****** open cards.

As for Lara getting the decision, it's pointless to worry about it now, I agree.

Canelo can box and it should be an interesting fight, the score cards can be commented if and when they are out, not now.

Trout should know with Canelo's handicap rules like open scoring in Texas and 114-114 scorecards against Mayweather. Lara's would have to double, triple in punches and knock this guy on his ass probably to walk out with a draw.
