Floyd won't be in such a good position if he pulled out because of gloves. Sure if he's injured(fake or real) is one thing but not for stopping a fight because of a hissy about gloves. Sure maidana loses $1.5mil+. But ticket refunds, eberle says they did $15mil, money lost there. Think about how many people won't be in that casino, people that will be losing money to the house, on Saturday night? the cost for MGM to stage the fight(getting the arena ready, promotion of the fight, cost of crewmen, lighting/control room technicians, security) this a major production and that's a large sum to come up with prior to the event. So what’s happens in his next fight? Those casinos/networks now want guarantees, maybe they want Floyd to front a % of the cost of the event. Right now everybody’s at his feet and he doesn’t have to come up with any up front money, but if he’s gonna lose them money they’re probably gonna want him to share the risks.

If i'm not mistaken the reason for the glove change was because the gloves were taken out of the plastic prior to someone from team Ruiz being present. That's a no no.

Yeah probly, i ordered that fight back in '03' but i forget why they changed the gloves.... but the blue pair maidana was trying to wear were wrapped in surran wrap?? Thats what i thought someone had said about the blue gloves!
