Rigo is one of the best boxers in the world. But his style is still Olympic-amateurish. Again, he's an elite fighter.

But unfortunately, he has a couple of things working against him.
He's small. Casual fans don't tend to watch much 135 pounds or less.

His style isn't action friendly.

Going through a couple of his videos, he doesn't seem reliable, in fact he seems like one of those "boo hoo everyone hates us cause our skin color" types. No surprise he has numerous HBO/Top Rank hate videos. He seems like your typical butthurt flomo battered in red K.

I also read in an article that was put out on BS that it was HBO that was refusing to air future Rigo fights unless his viewership went up. It was Arum who had to pull strings just to get the Cuban his TV dates. And yeah, it's a pretty simple concept, you don't bring the viewers you get shafted. Pretty sure the arena was close to EMPTY in his last fight.

It was pretty bad. The undercard had more viewers than the main event and most of the arena was empty during his fight. I've never heard of anything like that happening. It's really sad when you think about it. I think Top Rank did a decent job at building him up. They got him on a few Pacquaio undercards and TV slots on HBO and Showtime. Rigo is a brilliant talent, but outside of hardcore boxing fans no one cares about him.

Fighters like Seth Mitchell, Korobov, Fortuna, Brandon Gonzalez, Mike Perez , JC Burgos, Aydin, Postol get shown on HBO but that can't show Rigondeaux????

Funny how these clowns love pointing out that Bob is sabotaging his career, funny they never mention that Rigo has been on 2 Pacquiao PPV's, only 1 other fighter in the world can get you more exposure than PAC.

Dude was given his own showcase fight, and the people didn't want to watch the main event, but they watched the hell out of the fight before the main event, that can't be put on Bob.

They always blame everyone but the boring fighter. As if boxing is charity. Arum can expose boring fighters all he wants but if people keep exiting the doors whenever they fight, what can he do? That's beyond any promoter's control.
