Comments Thread For: Terence Crawford Could Battle Beltran 11/8 in Omaha

Bob Arum considers Terence Crawford an eventual opponent for Manny Pacquiao either at junior welterweight or welterweight.

Based on the unbeaten lightweight champion’s success in the ring and at the gate two weeks ago, though, the Hall of Fame promoter expects Crawford’s next fight to be another 135-pound title defense in his hometown of Omaha, Neb. Arum told BoxingScene.com that Crawford could return as early as Nov. 8 in Omaha and mentioned Ray Beltran as Crawford’s most likely opponent if he remains at lightweight.

Good that belt belongs to Beltran anyways. If Crawford would've beat Beltran for that belt I'd give him all credit in the world, but he beat Beltran's leftovers for that strap. And I thought Beltran beat Burns up even worse than Crawford.

I hope to god Crawford isnt the next Ward. Where they dont leave home cause they cant sell jack **** anywhere else. Only difference is, Crawford can actually sell 10k AT HOME unlike Ward.

I like this fight because Beltran did beat the hell out of Burns and is one last good test before he goes up to 140. So what it's in his hometown? If it sells it sells. Let him beat up Beltran then meet Rios or Alvarado at 140 to groom him up for Pac at 147. If he beats one if not both of them, then give him Provodnikov or Bradley at 147 to set up the fight.

Sadly I think Arum will rush it because Pac could leave next year to try and fight Floyd. I think the real path will be, Beltran, Rios then Pac. I would like to see him to beat Rios and Alvarado at least first.

Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg and several others never leave home because that's where the money is for them to fight. I never see you criticizing them though, is it because they aren't American?

And you're wrong about Andre Ward. He has drawn 10,000 fans to the Oracle Arena in the past.

People can't give him too much ish since he traveled for his belt and stepped up late notice to even get in his spot
