Even in mma fights you have guys that go for ko's nearly every time out with "stand up game" consisting almost entirely of punches... A boxer will punch harder and do more damage because of the little gloves of mma, and the fact that they are specialized in the discipline of punching to the exclusion of all else... they can either let that specialization be their downfall or savior.

Ray Mercer also KOd former UFC HW champ Tim Sylvia in an MMA fight, and Mercer was completely shot. And Sylvia was still top 10-15. I feel the need to point out to Check Hooks and co. that Ray Mercer was a former high level boxer and Olympic Gold medalist. He never fought for Top Rank so they may be unaware.

If Floyd trades all Ronda has to do is eat his pillow punch jabs and than grab him judo flip him and crank his neck with all 150 pounds of her weight on his 148 pound body. She is also same height as Floyd but she can toss and lift more weight than him, she cuts down from 160.

I don't like floyd but cmon dont talk like floyd doesnt know anything about fighting at all. He is fast and accurate. even if he doesn't have the skills suited for MMA he would rely solely on his instincts. Floyd doesn't like to be hit and he wont be by this ronda. if they'll start already hugging each other then floyd would lose. but the cage is big. floyd would land the first jab. breaks her nose. Floyd would need to do a lot of running and dodging though. Damn, even hatton would beat this ronda. Mayweather would first showcase his superior foot work. jabs rondas body. ronda folds. then the fast right cross above by floyd puts her down.

Ronda would beat Floyd sure, but youre taking it too far. If she even thought about taking any of Floyd's punches, she would be in HUGE trouble (even a jab - floyd is a male professional boxer). The sport is entertaining and pleasing to the eye - unlike MMA, at least to my ignorant eyes. I just dont understand all the grappling, takedowns, manoeuvring, leg kicks, and neither do you.
