If he***8217;s such a machine he would have still fought just as well with the messed up, the great fighters always do.

Even Maidana said Broner had a lot of power at 147, at 140 he can definitely do some damage, especially to a guy who has a suspect chin.

The guy is entertaining, but he***8217;s far from beatable, especially after his flaws have been exposed in his past 2 fights.

I can probably give you 5 fighters at 140 that would probably knock out Matthysse.
Wasn't Herrera an ESPN level fighter? he beat Garcia. Theophane beat him too.

You need to fall back on the Matthysse hating, it's childish. The guy has one defeat in his career, a close loss while injured.

nah, maidana said that the right hand after the bell in the eleven hurt him, bad translation by the people of showtime, chino was gassing out, he wasn't hurt by broner until that cheap shot. broner isn't as big or bigger than garcia, i think he and lucas are the same. and if lucas chin is suspect, then broner's chin is completely trash, don't you agree after seeing him doing that ****** dance against maidana? he looked like khan in there

Herrera was a ESPN level fighter, but he’s actually a proven fighter having a win of Provodnikov. Either way, why are you bringing up Garcia?

I notice a lot of Matthysse fanboys like to detract from the original argument, I like Garcia, I like Matthysse and I like Broner, they are good for the sport, but you fanboys need to started judging things objectively.

If you brought up Herrera to try and put me in my place somehow, then thats a fail, I thought Herrerra beat Garcia’s ass, but lets not forget, Garcia beat Matthysse’s ass, and exposed him as plastic, not metal.

I don’t get on Garcia’s case because he isn’t overhyped to death here, he earned his respect, especially with all the crap talking from the Matthysse fan base about how Khan was supposed to beat him, and he was going never going to fight Matthysse the big bad Machine. His last fight was a robbery, no doubt but he still deserves more respect in this sport than Matthysse.

          I’m not a hater, I’m just not a fanboy.

I don’t think Broner has the best chin in the world, but it’s far from trash, he’s been moving up in weight extremely fast and went 12 rounds with one of the hardest punchers today, but of course he doesn’t deserve any respect for that, but Matthysse, who gets pretty much knocked down or wobbled every time an ESPN level fighter in Molina hit him deserves nothing but respect.

Matthysse gets his ass whooped by Garcia, but its okay, Matthysse is still a warrior because it was some sort of freak accident and it’s impossible to win with one eye. The fanboys here make me want to throw up, really how old are you guys? Chris Algieri is more of a warrior than Matthysse, thats how you fight when you get hurt.

really defensive post. i tried to use your logic, according to you lucas has a suspect chin 'cause he was KD twice by molina (a huge lww who can actually punch) a guy that was brutally KO'd latter in the same fight never hurting matthysse again even though he landed big shots. but you don't say nothing about adiren's chin. how can you not say the same about broner's? have you seen his legs? he looked like khan against maidana (even worse). he only went 12 rounds against chino 'cause he got away with a lot of fouling thanks to the permissive cole (remember the exaggeration of the headbutt, he was trying to get marcos dq 'cause he was being beaten up really bad, everybody knows it and this is the reason why lucas is more of a warrior than broner, he doesn't try this shit)

stop calling people fanboy, that's really childish, and you look dumb, you sound as much as fanboy like anybody else in here.

                • Respect to Broner if he takes the fight... but knowing him and his team, they won't. It would be Broner-Maidana all over again.

                  • Man simpletons on here think anyone who gets knocked down or out has a weak chin.

Alexander has said Matthysse is the hardest puncher he's fought btw, I know Maidana didn't land much on him but...

He only moved up in weight "extremely fast" because he was huge at SFW, a big LW and got beat down at WW so he dropped to LWW to be on "even grounds" with his new competition. Also, Adrien Broner's ability to absorb damage has been recognized and praised, it's just his humping of opponents, dancing all over the place when he KO's "espn level talent", and the ignorant statements/videos he makes that cause the average viewer to overlook every other aspect about him. Lucas on the other hand doesn't talk much and goes straight to work once the bell rings. You need to realize the sport fuels a fan's emotions so if a fighter angers the audience as Broner did, it will be hard for that particular fighter to get back on the fans good side regardless of how many good fights he puts on. For example you. You can see every good aspect of AB since he has yet to say something that offends you but can't give credit to Lucas whom has faced more difficult opposition than Broner... and that says alot about Broner because he has gotten belts in several weight classes while Lucas has remained at 140 and has gone on to put on great shows and fight the best of the best at his weight.. win, lose or draw he has always given a good performance. LOL upset because others don't give credit to AB yet you do the same to Lucas...sigh.
