All of that blow must have chewed up De La Hoya's brain. He's citing fights between ranked fighters to justify a fight between a champion and an unranked fighter. It's an outright insult to the boxing community to try pass that gibberish off as logical reason.

LOL, sorry I watched the Herrera fight so watching Garcia against guys even better much higher ranked ones that will allow him to land left hooks are meaningless to me. Until I see Garcia either A) learn to land his left hook against anyone or B) develops another tool that can compliment his left hook which would also help with A.

Salka is a boxer type, not as good as Herrera but having seen the Herrera fight it is pretty obvious Garcia needs to go back to the drawing board against opponents intent on removing his left hook which is what Salka will do. Salka being not that good makes him ideal for the task he should present certain problems but Garcia should be able to overcome those issues and perhaps grow a bit by having some success in this way or at least give him some ideas about how to deal with the situation against someone more difficult.

You don't like the fight or the card overall fine I get that, but in terms of watching what Garcia will become I think this fight is important to see how he responds to facing a boxer after getting outboxed, although that boxer is a lesser one than the one that outboxed him.
