Dwyer: "Maidana rematch is a joke, should be Thurman, Matthysse or Pacquiao"

What what his prediction for the 1st Mayweather-Maidana fight?

If he said easy win for Floyd, then he should STFU

Dwyer is one of the best boxing youtubers(analyst, journalist, boxing historian, whatever.) When his theories get more wild and outlandish it just gets more and more interesting. He's always entertaining. Almost always, I guess. He is a super, super die-hard Floyd Fan(understandable because most boxing fans either worship Floyd or grudgingly admit he's the best. Or would be the best, perhaps, if he'd just fight a prime everybody already.) He always says that gamblers know to always bet on Floyd.

I guess it gets a little annoying when he goes on and on about Floyd because Dwyer is always saying how impartial boxing bettors are supposed to be. That they're all about the angles and can never be a fan. Dwyer is clearly a Floyd fan. Fine, everybody contradicts themselves. But his analysis of the fight(albeit fascinating) is a bit bizarre. He keeps referencing an old man in the bar who's cheering on Chino as the fight goes on and on. Dwyer wants to 'acknowledge' this old man and note that this view of the fight exists and then goes on to say that Floyd completely 'deconstructs' both Maidana and the Maidana type of fighter(and the type of old man at the end of the bar who thinks Maidana got, at the very least, a draw?). I don't think Floyd deconstructed anything. He dismantled/deconstructed/destructed and set into tiny little pieces far apart from each other Mosley, Guerrero and Canelo. Floyd survived the Maidana fight. That's it. And good for him, I guess. Not sure he'll win the rematch.

Anyways, Thurman, Matthysse or Pacquiao would all be incredible fights. I don't think anyone would complain if any of those fights were made.

Oh, and to give Dwyer his due credit: He's called some of the biggest upsets of the last 5 years. He called Bernard easily beating Pavlik. He called Bernard beating Pascal. He's got a long list of times he's been right.

Anyways, the rematch isn't a joke. Boxing is entertainment. The Floyd Maidana fight is, perhaps, the only entertaining Floyd Mayweather fight ever. It's the only Floyd PPV that was worth the money. The only one with any drama at all.

I'm in agreement with Dwyer in feeling discontent with the rematch but again, this is still the best viable option for Mayweather.
