There is absolutely no "danger" in these fights for Garcia and Peterson. The best- case-scenario for the challengers is literally to get robbed so they can get another decent paycheck out of this.

Part of blaming haymon is his link with floyd and we know the other reason.

Yes, I saw that. I would expect floyd/danny at the barclays or floyd/cotto at msg. Barclays trying hard to get floyd.

The underdog thing only works if the fighter is perceived to be invincible or is very popular. Floyd, tyson, odh, manny, Roy, yeah. Danny garcia-not now and possibly not ever.

          Why not Floyd/Cotto @ Barclay's?

I believe this is due to Oscar having the MGM reserved for Sept 13th and Floyd's reluctance to work with GBP now. It'll be nice to see Floyd step out of Vegas to fight for a change but he will get slaughtered by taxes here in NYC. On top of the 39% that goes to the feds, there's also a city and state income tax that applies here unlike in Vegas.

Oh if it's like that then this match up vs Sharrod isn't that bad.

Word is the barclays ceo has been working with mayor de blassio's office on some kind of tax breaks for floyd if he fights in nyc.

22/23 fights on Showtime have all been won by the GBP/Haymon fighter. That's ridiculous.. And i recommend no one tunes into this fight, or this nonsense will continue.
I haven't missed a Saturday night fight since 2007 but im going to start skipping all of these **** fights now, starting with this one. Its getting ridiculous how very few of the top fighters can or will fight each other and they expect to all be paid millions of dollars.

This type of **** really takes away from the sport and makes it somewhat laughable. Showtime and HBO should tell them all "good fights or no fights at all"

That's a good point. I didn't even think about the Barclays. It makes more sense from Floyd's perspective I think. Cotto would probably command more money if the fight were at MSG.

"All of our mismatches turned out to be great fights. Therefore we will continue to make mismatches."

Whoever buys into that crap is ******. I'm cancelling my subscription. All of the good fights are on PPV anyways.
